According to new rumors coming from China, Sony will soon unveil the Xperia M Ultra as one of the latest additions to its Xperia line of smartphones.

It is said that the Xperia M Ultra will feature a six-inch full HD display and will be powered by an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 652 chipset with 3 GB of RAM.

The smartphone is also rumored to have 32 GB of internal memory, a 4,280 mAh battery, a 23 MP rear-facing camera, a 16 MP front-facing camera, a fingerprint sensor and a USB Type-C port.

The rear camera is said to be OSS, or optical steady shot, dual cameras, with one sensor featuring a 24 mm lens with f/2.2 aperture, with the other sensor featuring a 7.5 mm lens with f/2.2 aperture. The selfie camera, on the other hand, will have a 25 mm lens with f/2.0 aperture.

The information, which was posted on the Chinese website Weibo, points to the Xperia M Ultra being a powerful smartphone geared toward photography enthusiasts.

There are no other sources that confirm the information regarding the Xperia M Ultra, though, if it even is a real device. As such, take these rumors with a pinch of salt.

Another recently-reported rumor regarding Sony's Xperia line is that the company's next flagship will be named the Xperia X Premium, and that it will be the first smartphone in the world to pack an HDR screen.

The 5.5-inch, 1080p display of the device is said to be capable of a color depth of 1.07 billion colors, which is much higher compared with the displays of current flagship smartphones that only offer as high as 16.8 million colors.

The Xperia X Premium, tagged as the successor to the Xperia Z5 Premium that was released in September 2015, will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor with an Adreno 530 GPU and 3 GB of RAM. The smartphone will also have a USB Type-C port.
