Uncharted 4: A Thief's End will feature Plunder, a new multiplayer mode, which shall be playable at all PlayStation booths at PAX East that is happening during the weekend.

Fans who played the multiplayer for Uncharted 2 and Uncharted 3 should have no problem on what to expect as Plunder is said to be akin to Capture the Flag game mode, albeit clad in an Uncharted theme.

"On the hunt for Captain Henry Avery's long-lost treasure, Sam and Drake set off to find Libertalia, the pirate utopia deep in the forests of Madagascar," states the game's story on its official site. "Uncharted 4: A Thief's End takes players on a journey around the globe, through jungle isles, urban cities and snow-capped peaks on the search for Avery's fortune."

Players are tasked to find the idol on the map and then bring it back to the home treasure chest. According to Lead Game Designer Robert Cogburn, great teamwork among the players is the ultimate key to win the match.

Uncharted 4's Plunder mode will be playable on the three maps that players have seen earlier in the game's Beta and Multiplayer Stress Test. These include Rooftops, Madagascar City and Island.

Cogburn also announced a couple of updates that were made to the classic Plunder game style. These include removing the constraint faced by players when they carry the idol but could not traverse with it and changing the five on five experience into a four vs. four.

"Plunder at four vs. four is perfect and we hope fans that experience this mode at PAX East feel the same," wrote Cogburn.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End was originally scheduled to release globally on March 18. However, game developer Naughty Dog decided to postpone the release in order to add a bit more polish to the title. Moreover, the move to change the release date is aligned with the game developer's effort to meet the worldwide demand and to allow all gamers around the globe to play the game starting on day one.

Uncharted 4: A Thief's End is now set to release globally on May 10, 2016. It will be exclusively available to players of PlayStation 4.
