Microsoft has just announced that fans of the Gears of War series can now preorder Gears of War 4 and Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition through the Xbox Store, the Microsoft Store and other participating retail stores.

Gamers who will order either edition of the highly anticipated third-person shooter will also receive the Vintage Del Gear Pack, a preorder exclusive that features the Vintage Del character skin that players can use in playing Versus Multiplayer matches. The pack also includes an emblem, two Vintage weapon models as well as a special Vintage Del bounty.

Meanwhile, those who will preorder the game's ultimate edition will get the Gears of War 4 season pass (valued at $49.99) and a "permanent access" to 24 downloadable maps that gamers can use for private play on certain servers.

The offer also nets players a developer playlist, which provides access to various modes and test maps ahead of their intended release as well as six Gear packs, which unlock in-game emblems, skins, boosts and equipment.

Preorders for the game include a limited edition SteelBook and a vintage VIP bundle that features two vintage weapon skins and a vintage JD. Players who wish to get the vintage Kait model will have to play through Gears of War 4's beta and reach level 20.

The game's Collector's Edition features the Ultimate Edition, a statue of JD Fenix on a COG Bike, three Gear crates, a frag grenade keychain, an exclusive lithograph and premium packaging. This bundle costs $250.

Gears of War 4: Ultimate Edition is available through retail stores or through download for $99.99. Buying the game early will allow players to join the game's Swarm-crushing action as soon as it is released on Oct. 7, four days before its official launch.

Those who wish to get the standard edition of Gears of War 4 can order the game early through the Xbox Store or purchase it through participating retailers once it becomes available on Oct. 11. Gears of War costs $59.99.
