After a week of leaks and rumors, Activision has formally announced the next entry in the long-running Call of Duty series: Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

As earlier rumors indicated, Infinite Warfare will take players to space, as Earth battles a force known as the Settlement Defense Front. It, in many ways, looks like older entries in the franchise. There doesn't appear to be any type of wall-running or jet-boosting. Though there are robotic soldiers, it all appears to be more grounded than the over-the-top future depicted in Black Ops III. There are, however, exosuits that look to have come straight out of James Cameron's Aliens.

Vehicle combat has never been one of Call of Duty's specialties, but it looks like players will get to participate in massive space battles this time around. That, if nothing else, should be something fans aren't used to.

The game's announcement trailer also comes with another surprise: a look at Modern Warfare Remastered in action. Leaks already spoiled the reveal ahead of time, but now, it's official. For $80, players can snag a copy of Infinite Warfare and a digital copy of Modern Warfare Remastered. The remaster will ship with 10 multiplayer maps and will also include the game's campaign. It's unclear if the game will be sold separately and how much it might cost as a standalone product, but we're assuming players who don't buy the $80 edition will still be able to take a trip down memory lane.

Modern Warfare is the game that catapulted Call of Duty into the FPS spotlight, and for many gamers was their first entry in the franchise. Featuring iconic multiplayer maps and unforgettable single-player missions like the stealth focused "All Ghillied Up," more than a few fans are likely just as excited for this remaster as they are for the brand new entry in the franchise. You can check out the trailer for both games below.

Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare is coming Nov. 4, 2016 for Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC. At this point, no Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 versions of the game have been announced.
