Battleborn released only two days ago, and the development team at Gearbox is already hard at work on improving the game.

In fact, the first major change to the title came yesterday, when Gearbox quickly added the ability to replay (or completely skip) the game's prologue after listening to fan feedback.

"You loved playing the prologue mission with Mellka, but some people wanted to replay it more than once," reads a post on the official Battleborn site. "Done! Some of you also said you want to re-watch the intro cinematic. No problem! Thanks to SHiFT, we are able to push quick hotfixes into the game at virtually any time. So starting this morning, you can now play the opening of Battleborn as many times as you like — or skip past the cinematic during the replay it [sic] if you'd rather get right to the action."

Gearbox says fans can expect weekly balance updates, while larger patches will take a little longer in order to go through first-party certification. Still, the speed at which Gearbox issued its first hotfix seems to be a good sign that players won't have to endure annoying glitches or overpowered characters for too long.

Speaking of overpowered, Gearbox is putting the robotic sniper Marquis in its sights for one of the game's first balance changes. The character's powerful long-range rifle is making it too easy to pick away at the enemy team's sentry, so it looks like his power will be taken down a notch in the coming weeks. If Marquis is a favorite of yours, best play him as much as possible now before he gets a one-way ticket to nerf town.

We're currently playing our way through Battleborn and should have our full review in the coming days. In the meantime, you can check out our impressions on the beta to get an idea of whether or not Battleborn might be for you. More than two million players took the game's beta for a spin, resulting in more than 1.1 million matches of multiplayer being played over the beta period.
