The Huawei MediaPad M2 tablet made its debut back in January, but it's only now that it's making its way to the UK.

The 10-inch slate finally hit retail across the pond, available through popular e-tailer Currys.

It's worth pointing out here that Huawei announced various configurations and two color options for the MediaPad M2 in January, but Currys is currently offering only the Silver model with 16 GB of internal storage.

For those unfamiliar with the device, the Huawei MediaPad M2 is quite impressive inside and out. The tablet looks and feels premium thanks to its sleek metal construction. It packs powerful hardware under the hood, sports a neat M-Pen stylus, and comes with a decent price tag. More on the price later though, let's focus on specs for now.

The MediaPad M2 features a 10-inch IPS display with a full HD resolution of 1,920 x 1,200 pixels and packs an octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 930 processor, paired with either 2 GB or 3 GB of RAM, depending on configuration. The tablet also comes in 16 GB or 64 GB storage options, complete with microSD support for additional memory of up to 128 GB. Currys is selling the 16 GB model with 2 GB of RAM.

Other specs include a 13-megapixel main camera with autofocus and flash support, a 5-megapixel front shooter, a hefty 6,660 mAh battery, and a front-mounted fingerprint scanner embedded in the home button. Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi and GPS are also in the mix, as are a number of sensors such as accelerometer, compass, gyroscope, ambient light and hall sensor.

The audio department makes up another exciting aspect of the MediaPad M2, as the tablet rocks four Harman/Kardon speakers – two at the top and two at the bottom. Huawei even touts that "no tablet has ever sounded so good before."

Currys is selling the Huawei MediaPad M2 for £249.99, which would translate to roughly $391 based on current conversion rates. That's notably more expensive compared to the U.S. pricing of the device, but UK premiums are nothing new.

If you've got your eyes set on the MediaPad M2, head over to Currys and make your purchase. The retailer makes no mention of when it may add more options, but we'll let you know if we hear anything.
