Microsoft is running an exciting promotion in the UK again, offering a free Display Dock when purchasing its Lumia 950 or 950 XL.

Both of these handsets are high-end offerings with powerful specs and features all around, and the Display Dock can be a strong ally. With the gadget, Lumia 950 or 950 XL users can connect peripherals to their smartphone and turn it into a workable PC.

More specifically, the Display Dock has one USB 2.0 high-current charging port, two USB 2.0 ports, a Display Port connector, an HDMI connector, and a USB Type-C port. Making use of these connectivity options, users can attach a physical keyboard, a display and a mouse to their Lumia 950 or 950 XL, thus turning the handset into a mini PC.

As a reminder, the Lumia 950 features a 5.2-inch display and a Snapdragon 808 processor, while the larger Lumia 950 XL boasts a 5.7-inch screen and a Snapdragon 810 processor with Liquid Cooling technology to prevent it from overheating.

Both handsets sport 3 GB of RAM, 32 GB of built-in storage space, microSD support, and 20-megapixel rear cameras with Zeiss optics, dedicated camera button and triple LED flash.

Microsoft's UK promotion offering a free Display Dock with the purchase of a Lumia 950 or 950 XL handset kicked off on May 24 and runs until July 30. As usual, reading the fine print reveals some more details, so make sure to take everything into account before making your purchase.

"Valid with purchase and online offer registration between 24th May 2016 and 30th June 2016, while supplies last. Redeem promotional code online through Microsoft Store by 30th July 2016," Microsoft notes. "Valid credit or debit card required at time of redemption. Terms and Conditions apply."
