Shooting for Wolverine 3 is well underway but there remains a lot of things we don't know about the movie, like who Hugh Jackman's character will be squaring off.

It's an understatement to say that Wolverine has encountered many enemies but according to an exclusive from Nerdist, at least two villains have been confirmed to show up in the movie.

First, there's the "relentless, calculating ... Intense head of security for a global enterprise" to be played by Boyd Holbrook, an original villain drafted just for Jackman's last outing as Wolverine.

Second, a mad scientist to be played by Richard E. Grant.

Who exactly is this mad scientist? It could be Donald Pierce, the man who once led Reavers, a group of cyborgs operating as both an elite task force for the military and as a gang of thieves. According to a source close to the production, Reavers will be appearing in Wolverine 3, so that increases the likelihood of the mad scientist character being Pierce as he was the notable leader of the group.

As for what the "global enterprise" Holbrook's character is security head of, Nerdist throws in the Hellfire Club as a possibility. Pierce is a member of this group so there is a chance he could be their new leader and that would facilitate the Reavers becoming the Hellfire Club's security team.

Warning: Spoilers Ahead For X-Men: Apocalypse

Looking at the X-Men: Apocalypse post-credits scene, another potential group of baddies is the Essex Corp. which was run by Nathaniel Essex/Mister Sinister. Other elements that could make their way to Wolverine 3 from the post-credits are the Weapon X facility, particularly with rumors going around that the female Wolverine clone, X-23, may be appearing in the movie.

Wolverine 3 is set to for a March 3, 2017 release date and will have an R rating.

What do you think of these villains for Wolverine 3? Who would you rather see Logan duke it out with in his final fight? Let us know in the comments!
