Orlando Bloom will always be Legolas, Daniel Radcliffe will always be Harry Potter, Mark Hamill will always be Luke Skywalker ... and actor Kit Harington will always be Jon Snow from Game of Thrones.

That being said, it looks like the actor is diversifying his portfolio and might soon appear in a major video game. According to a video obtained by Mashable, Harington is seen being wheeled into a massive motion capture rig for some unknown project.

It's a motion capture setup that is nearly identical (and probably is identical) to one used by Activision for its Call of Duty franchise. Football star Marshawn Lynch took a seat in the same mo-cap rig for his cameo appearance in last year's Call of Duty: Black Ops III, which leads Mashable to make the educated guess that Harington may be appearing in this year's entry, Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Even if he is, it's still uknown what role the actor will play in the game. As stated above, Lynch's appearance in Black Ops III was so minor that most players likely missed it. Is Harington making a cameo, or is he a key character in the game? Even if Harington isn't a part of the game's single-player campaign, it's perfectly possible that he could be one of the new playable characters in the franchise's popular zombie mode. The series has made it a tradition of including the likenesses of big-name celebrities as whom to play in the four-player co-operative mode, with last year's installment featuring Ron Perlman and Jeff Goldblum, among others.

Harington is known for fighting zombies (wights and white walkers) on Game of Thrones, so it seems like it could be a perfect fit. Activision isn't saying anything about the rumor just yet, and it likely won't. E3 starts at the beginning of next week, so expect to hear new details about Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare, and Harington's possible involvement, soon.

Will the appearance of Jon Snow help Infinite Warfare's so far lackluster reception? That remains to be seen. The reveal trailer for the game is one of the most disliked YouTube videos in history, and so far, fans don't seem thrilled about the future of the franchise. Perhaps a new and improved zombie mode featuring everybody's favorite Lord Commander might change that.
