The Huawei Honor 5A Plus has surfaced online again on a benchmarking site, giving a peek into the alleged phablet's specifications.

Huawei is anticipated to announce the Honor 5A and the Honor 5A Plus smartphones on Sunday, June 12 (as disclosed by a teaser on Weibo) at a press event and prior to its purported debut, the latter has leaked on GFXBench.

This is not the first time details pertaining to the Honor 5A Plus have leaked online. Earlier in May, the smartphone passed through TENAA — the Chinese regulatory body which is similar to the FCC.

Some of the details of the impending handset leaked on GFXBench differ from that on the TENAA listing.

For those wondering what the Honor 5A Plus will bring to the table, it is said to sport a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels.

Under the hood, the Huawei phablet is anticipated to boast an octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. The Honor 5A Plus is also believed to tout an Adreno 405 GPU and 2 GB of RAM.

The new device is anticipated to pack in only 16 GB of on-board storage, which may disappoint many Huawei fans. However, the handset is expected to offer expandable memory support, which may tilt consumer favor in its direction.

The Honor 5A Plus is expected to be an entry-level handset and per the benchmark listing, will have a 12-megapixel rear-facing camera. This camera will offer support for FHD videos, autofocus, face detection, touch focus, HDR photo and flash. The TENAA listing hinted at a 13-megapixel camera instead of the 12-megapixel sensor.

The Huawei smartphone is also listed as offering a 7-megapixel front-facing camera to lure selfie lovers. The TENAA listing pointed to an 8-megapixel camera sensor.

The battery size for the Honor 5A Plus is not given, but previous leaks hint at a powerful 3,000 mAh battery. The device will likely come preloaded with the latest Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS, with the EMUI running on top.

The Honor 5A Plus will also offer support for Bluetooth, accelerometer, GPS, compass, Wi-Fi, pedometer, light sensor and proximity sensor. The device, per the listing, will not have support for NFC, thermometer, altimeter, barometer, gyroscope and a heart rate monitor.

The pricing for the Honor 5A Plus is not known. The smartphone is initially expected to be made available by the company in Asian markets. However, a possibility exists that Huawei could release the Honor 5A Plus, along with sibling Honor 5A, in the United States in the near term.
