Fresh off a Closed Beta for Windows PC last summer, The Crew will be staging one as well for consoles starting Sept. 30.

Available only in English, the Closed Beta for The Crew will be offered for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. An invite will be needed to participate, though. To get one, players are to register through the game's website to be part of the waiting list. A download code will be sent to successful applicants in the coming days.

Those who will successfully get invites to the Closed Beta will be able to play The Crew using a map of the entire United States. What would be playable, though, would be determined by where on the map a player is.

All missions and skill challenges will be available in the Midwest region while the East Coast is limited to skill challenges. The rest of the map (West Coast, Mountain State, and the South) will allow for free roaming at will.

Two PvP lobbies will also be made accessible during the Closed Beta. One can be found in the Midwest and another in East Coast. Through these lobbies, races will be waiting for players to prove their skills against others in the game.

As for cars, new vehicles may be unlocked during the Closed Beta to allow players to drive through various terrains, some of which may be customized into The Street Spec (available in Detroit) and The Dirt Spec (available in New York).

Three other specs, however, are present in the game: Circuit, Raid, and Perf. These three will also be made available during the Closed Beta for The Crew.

As an MMO, the game, of course, will let players compete with friends or rivals from around the world, even in Closed Beta. This kind of game play, after all, is integral to The Crew.

The Crew Closed Beta will feature five cities, 66 landmarks, 30 missions, and 200 skill challenges, alongside PvP content. Players can expect to drive more than 6,200 miles of road in the Closed Beta.

It will give players a great idea as to what The Crew could be like when it is released. However, it could drastically be different from the game's final version, which will hit shelves on Nov. 11. It will be available on the PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and Windows PC.

No word yet if an Xbox 360 Closed Beta will be offered as well.
