The world of Westeros from Game of Thrones isn't a pleasant one.

Warring houses constantly battling for the throne. Death. Disease. White Walkers. Dragons. Wildfire. Just not very nice people in general. It's a dark, dangerous place.

That is why, despite how incredibly cute these fan-made Pokémon inspired by the various noble houses of Westeros are, they are way too friendly, adorable and innocent to survive long in the world of George R.R. Martin's making.

These creations come from the talented Kaleb Raleigh on DeviantArt, and they'll have you wishing for an official Pokémon game set in Westeros.

All of these Game of Thrones-inspired Pokémon have at least two forms, with some even sporting three. House Stark is represented, as is House Lannister, House Baratheon, House Targaryen, House Bolton, House Greyjoy, House Frey, House Tully, House Arryn, House Tyrell and House Martell. As an added bonus, there are Pokémon inspired by the Night's Watch and the supernatural White Walkers as well.

Each Pokémon is cuter than the one before it. It's certainly impressive that Raleigh managed to turn the Boltons' sigil of the Flayed Man into a creature that isn't immediately revolting. The Targaryen Pokémon starts as a baby dragon before evolving into a two-headed one, then a three-headed one, matching the house's sigil. House Frey's sigil of the river fortress the Twins also gets the proper treatment, continuing the grand Pokémon tradition of turning inanimate objects into living creatures.

The various Pokémon names are spot-on as well. From the House Stark Stalwarg to the House Targaryen Dragaryen, each Pokémon incorporates elements from each house and are clever wordplays.

Even though these fake Pokémon will never become real, it's still cool to see. The official new entries in the Pokémon series, Pokémon Sun and Moon, are scheduled to be released later this year. Those games will take players to a fictionalized version of Hawaii for the first time and introduce plenty of new creatures for players to capture, which certainly sounds far more pleasant than battling White Walkers in Westeros.

In Game of Thrones news, the show's season six finale may have revealed a huge new detail regarding the character of Jon Snow, even if it wasn't uttered out loud. You can read more about that here.
