Samsung Mobile Korea rolled out the very first official ad for the upcoming Galaxy Note 7, set to launch next week on Aug. 2.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 is one of the most highly anticipated flagships of this year, arriving as the successor to the popular Galaxy Note 5 from last year. The company decided to skip the "Note 6" moniker and go straight for "Note 7" to bring it in line with the Galaxy S7 and S7 edge flagship smartphones for this year.

Plenty of details have already leaked so far, painting a picture of what to expect from the Galaxy Note 7, but leaks can't always be trusted. Official teasers, however, are a whole different thing.

The new Galaxy Note 7 ad from Samsung Mobile Korea now offers hints at some features the new phablet should bring to the table. The video starts by showing various ways to unlock a device, such as lock-screen patterns and fingerprint scanners, which may already be old-fashioned for the Galaxy Note 7. This may be a hint at the beefed-up security the Note 7 is expected to have, sporting an advanced iris scanner.

Next up, the clip shows a woman lying on her bed and trying to take a sensual selfie, but the light is apparently not flattering enough. The woman holds a bare lightbulb as well as a string of holiday lights near her face just to pose for the selfie. This should be a hint toward a powerful selfie shooter for the Galaxy Note 7, likely with a flash so that those desperate efforts to hold additional lights would no longer be necessary.

The video further shows someone highlighting words on a book, looking at phrases in Hangul (Korean alphabet) and in foreign languages, and noting the word "Note" with a marker on a piece of paper. These clues all seem to hint at the new S Pen we've been hearing about, which will purportedly work even underwater. Could the stylus include some kind of language feature as well?

The teaser also shows some old-fashioned landline phones underwater, which is likely a clue that the Galaxy Note 7 will be water-resistant.

With only a few days to go until the official unveiling, the Galaxy Note 7 hype is definitely building up, and we can't wait to see what Samsung has in store. Until the big event, check out the first Galaxy Note 7 ad below. Intrigued? Let us know in the comments section.
