Samsung unveiled the new Galaxy Note 7 to the world on Tuesday, and while full reviews won't hit the web quite yet, all indicators are pointing to the next-generation flagship phablet being the greatest device the company has created to date.

The phablet is poised to arrive on Aug. 19, but if the current hype is any indication, then you are going to have one hell of a time getting your hands on it if you try to get it at a physical retailer. Fortunately, preorders are already live, and in this post, not only will you learn exactly how to get one, but you also get a recap of its specs to help reaffirm why you are likely getting one in the first place.

Specs

Before we go into where and how to preorder Samsung's latest and greatest, here is a recap of its specs that were revealed yesterday. The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 features a 5.7-inch quad HD Super AMOLED display, a Snapdragon 820 processor, 4 GB of LPDDR4 RAM, 64 GB of UFS 2.0 storage, microSDXC support up to 2 TB, a 5 megapixel front-facing camera, a 12 megapixel rear Dual Pixel camera, iris and fingerprint scanners, a 3,500 mAh battery, IP68 water- and dust-resistance and Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow, all within a 2.9-inch x 6.04-inch x 0.03-inch frame.

Preordering/Price From Samsung

Preorders are up in full starting today, Aug. 3, though the prices depend on where you order. Overall, however, the easiest place to preorder is directly from Samsung. Simply go to the preorder page on Samsung's website and hit the preorder button. Upon doing so, you'll be prompted to select one of the four major U.S. wireless carriers — Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint — as well as a color. For the U.S., the color options are Black Onyx, Silver Titanium and Blue Coral, which has rose gold trim.

Furthermore, preordering directly from Samsung allows consumers to choose between a complementary 256 GB microSD card or a Gear Fit 2 fitness tracker. Both have benefits, so the decision comes down to whether you want a 320 GB Galaxy Note 7 for no extra cost or are really into working out but didn't want to spend the money on a fitness tracker.

All of this will cost you $849.99.

As one might expect, you can also preorder from the four major cellular providers, which will be discussed in the next section.

Preordering/Price Elsewhere

As previously mentioned, you can preorder the Galaxy Note 7 from Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile and Sprint, but the price of the phone depends on where you order. Both T-Mobile and Sprint are selling the Galaxy Note 7 for $849.99, while Verizon Wireless and AT&T are charging a bit more — $864.99 and $879.99, respectively.

In addition, each carrier is offering its standard installment plans when purchasing a new phone:

Verizon: $0 down, $36/month for 24 months if you have “great credit” or $345.60 down and $21.60/month if you’re “working on your credit.”
AT&T: $29.34/month for 30 months or $36.67/month for 24 months.
T-Mobile: $70 down, $32.50/month for 24 months.
Sprint: $0 down, $35.42/month for 24 months.

In addition, just like with Samsung, you can get a free 256 GB microSD card or Gear Fit 2 when preordering from any of the above the carriers. However, if you do, you'll have to wait for it in the mail. If you're looking to get your bonuses early, then Best Buy is your best option, and you can get all the details about its offerings here.
