Pokémon GO's revenue has crossed a record $200 million within the mobile game's first month of launch.

Candy Crush Soda Saga from King and Supercell's Clash Royale have been top grossing mobile games in terms of first-month cumulative revenue. However, a study from app intelligence firm Sensor Tower shows that Niantic's location-based game Pokémon GO, which was released in early July this year, has crushed the records of these games.

Clash Royale, which was released in March this year, earned about $125 million in its first 30 days. Candy Crush Soda Saga earned more than $25 million in its initial month.

"Pokémon GO earned more than seven times as much net revenue in its first month as King's hit puzzle game. This is not only a testament to Pokémon GO's unparalleled popularity, but, when viewed against Clash Royale's first month, also speaks to how the measure of a hit game's launch (at least from a revenue perspective) has changed in just two short years," says Sensor Tower.

On July 25, Sensor Tower reported that Pokémon GO topped 50 million downloads on the Google Play Store in record time. The app intelligence company also confirmed that the combined downloads for the game on iOS and Android reached 75 million within 19 days.

Pokémon GO, which is available for Android and iOS, has witnessed huge success worldwide. Apple also confirmed last month that Pokémon GO set a new App Store record with more downloads in its first week than any other app in history.

When the augmented reality game from Niantic was launched on July 6, it was only available in the U.S., Australia and New Zealand. Gamers in many other countries had to wait longer.

Pokémon GO's European release started on July 13 then the game was widely available in most other countries within a few days.

The game was delayed in Pokémon's home country of Japan due to server issues. This disappointed many Pokémon fans, but Nintendo and Niantic were swift enough to take action and reduce further postponement.

Gamers in many Asian countries, such as Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia, Cambodia and more, had to wait until early August this year to play Pokémon GO.

The Niantic game has reached huge milestones just within 30 days of launch. Given that the popularity of the title is still high within the gaming community, it is likely that Pokémon GO will break more records in the near future.
