The Pokémon Company was poised to unveil its latest trailer for Pokémon Sun and Pokémon Moon in Japan on Friday, Aug. 12 at 10 a.m. JST (2 a.m. BST/9 p.m. EDT/6 p.m. PDT). However, it looks like someone dropped the ball, as the contents of that trailer arrived a little early, revealing the latest Pokémon characters to join the games' ever-growing casts.

Some of these scans serve to corroborate the photos that leaked from CoroCoro earlier this week, while the rest reveal newcomers to the cast, as well as the Alolan form of a fan favorite.

To start, the new Pokémon that were leaked ahead of time were Wishiwashi, Morelull and Pyukumuku.

Wishiwashi is a Water-type fish Pokémon that can change its form once it reaches a specific level. Solo Form is its regular form, where it acts alone and doesn't look particularly menacing. Meanwhile, School Form has it group up with other Wishiwashi in order to assume the appearance of a gigantic fish that can school (sorry) stronger Pokémon. There's even a clip that shows the in-battle transformation in action.

Morelull is a Grass/Fairy-type Pokémon that bears the appearance of a mushroom, while Pyukumuku is a Water-type Pokémon that bears the appearance of a sea cucumber.

Furthermore, the leaked update revealed the latest Gen I Pokémon to get an Alola form: Raichu.

Raichu joins Exeggutor as the only new forms that gain an added type, instead of ditching their old ones in favor of new ones. In this instance, Alola Raichu is Electric/Psychic and likely gained that attribute when it was exposed to excessive amounts of sandpaper and became outrageously cute. Jokes aside, Alola Raichu looks rather impressive, boasting the Surge Surfer ability that doubles its speed when Electric Terrain is active.

Lastly, several pictures of the new criminal faction, Team Skull, were revealed. We see their leader, Guzma, "Big Sister" Plumeria and the grunts, all of whom apparently have a bone to pick with the player.

Everything else, such as Alola Marowak and Meowth, were already revealed by CoroCoro, though the upcoming trailer will discuss them in greater detail (such as how their abilities work). In fact, it seems like everything from CoroCoro (except for Rockruff's hidden evolution) will be detailed in the trailer on Friday, officially confirming this latest "leak."
