After a long days work, commuting back home can feel like a never-ending ride. The train always seems to run late the day you're in a rush. It is always packed  when you are juggling groceries and it's always at a standstill after you just transferred to an express track.

Performers are so common on the trains in major cities that their acts often going ignored. However, serious Australian commuters were in for a surprise when a guy started a dance party on a train.

Social artist Peter Sharp asked eight friends to join him for a traveling dance party on a train car in Perth, Australia. Dressed in a suit and tie, Sharp stepped onto the train and started serving up his soulful moves.

"I don't know if you've noticed it, but on the train it's like this crazy void in space and time... where people just disconnect from life and the opportunities that are just sitting right next to them," he said in a video announcing the dance party.

As his friends took a seat next to unsuspecting passengers, Sharp starts off the dance party by announcing he is not looking for money. "I just want to spread a little bit of happiness. So I'm going to do that today by starting a small dance party," he declares.

James Brown's "I Feel Good" comes on and one by one Sharp's friends join in for an epic dance party. Sharp shuffles up and down the aisle, showing off his moves.

The dance party was contagious, as all the commuters are seen having a good time.

Commuters were encouraged to either join in dancing or clap along in their seats. When the train stops at the next station, the party continues with more passengers joining the dance party.

"We were totally blown away by how instantly people started to smile, laugh and get involved," he says.

The 23-year-old artist previously organized social experiments that includes one where he stood in a crowd blindfolded with arms reached out to get hugs from strangers while he studied abroad in Spain.
