So far on Fox's Gotham, we have Penguin, Riddler, Catwoman and Poison Ivy. Not to mention famous crime bosses Carmine Falcone and Sal Maroni. Producers have promised that Victor Zsasz and Harvey "Two-Face" Dent are on the way in future episodes.

Now we have confirmation that another baddie is coming to Gotham City, though probably not yet in his villain identity.

Hush, a.k.a. Tommy Elliot, will be seen on a future episode of Gotham. Since Tommy and Bruce Wayne were close friends when they were boys, it makes sense that this future super villain would be seen at this point in Gotham's storyline. Don't get your hopes up too high for a big Hush storyline, though. Actor Sean Pertwee, who plays Alfred Pennyworth, told IGN that Tommy Elliot will only appear in easter egg form for now.

Still, even as a child, Tommy was already a sociopath. In the comics, he actually attempted to murder his parents while still a young boy. He eventually grows up resenting Bruce Wayne, seeing him as a better reflection of himself. He even has his face surgically altered to match Bruce's at one point. In his costumed guise -- he wraps his face in bandages, mummy-style -- he targets Bruce Wayne and Batman both.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Wayne family friend Dr. Leslie Thompkins will pop up on Gotham soon. In the comics she becomes godmother to Bruce Wayne after his parents' murder, caring for him and sharing in his secrets just as Alfred does. After Bruce grows up and becomes Batman, Thompkins opens a medical clinic where she treats heroes and villains alike, declaring her office neutral territory.

Oh, and she's also a love interest for Alfred.

Far less certain is fan-favorite villainess Harley Quinn. She starts out as a psychiatrist who becomes obsessed with the Joker's case, eventually falling in love with him and fighting by his side. A wink to Harley Quinn appeared in Gotham's pilot, where a group of nightclub dancers were seen rehearsing on stage in Harlequin attire.

At New York Comic Con, one fan point-blank asked the Gotham panel if Harley Quinn would ever appear on the show. Producer Danny Cannon replied with the same succinct answer the show's brain trust has said when asked about other villains yet to appear: "We'll get there."

Clearly there are no concrete plans for the character yet, so don't be surprised if it's very late in the season or even somewhere in Season 2 that she first appears. It seems more logical that Joker would appear first.
