The Sony H.ear headphones are another gadget that sports Bluetooth and NFC. They also tap into noise-canceling features, which might account for the $350 cost. Sony touts that the headphones provide premium-level hands-free voice calling.

The Backbeat Sense wireless headphones offer up to 18 hours of audio playback for one charge and are a tad more affordable, at $180. The Backbeat Sense also features a built-in microphone to place calls.

Bowers & Wilkins P7 Wireless

The P7 Wireless headphones are on the pricey side of the list, with a price tag of $400. Customers of the P7 will get a leather finish and a folding design, and a carrying case to match. Bowers & Wilkins touts that its wireless headphones deliver 17 hours of battery life per charge, and sport two microphones.

Jaybird Freedom Earbuds

Jaybird is proud to call the Freedom earbuds the tiniest on the market. The earbuds are built out of "premium metal" and come with a MySound app that allows users to tweak the perfect sound for their ears. The earbuds cost only $200 and play nice with most smartphones.

Jabra Elite Sport Earbuds

The Jabra Elite Sport was built with athletic activities in mind, but only offers 3 hours of music or talk time on a single charge. The headphones sport a microphone and an in-ear heart rate monitor. The Jabra Elite Sport will cost $250.

BeatsX Earphones

The BeatsX earphones cost only $150 and come with the W1 wireless chip, linking them easily to iPhones and Apple Watches. The earpieces bring 8 hours of music on a single charge. A physical equalizer allows users to tweak the volume of the earphones.
