Nothing can top all seven seasons of Gilmore Girls coming to Netflix in my eyes, but this news comes pretty close.

Warner Bros. announced on Oct. 15 that all 10 seasons of Friends will be ready for us to stream on Netflix starting Jan. 1. In case you were wondering, that's 236 episodes chronicling all of the shenanigans that Ross, Rachel, Chandler, Monica, Joey and Phoebe get themselves into as a bunch of twentysomethings living in New York.

For the next two-and-a-half months, we're going to be seeing A LOT of stories that tell you which Friends episodes are essential to watch in case you don't feel like binge-watching the entire series. Is there a living soul that hasn't seen a re-run of every episode at least once, anyway?

Since the series will arrive on Netflix on New Year's Day, it seems only fitting that you take this opportunity to celebrate with episodes that will really get your new year off right. Here are the episodes from each season of Friends that will help you do that.

Season 1: "Pilot" a.k.a. "The One Where Monica Gets a Roommate"

How could you not kick off your New Year's Day Friends marathon with the very first episode of the series? Start off the year right by seeing how it all began.

Season 2: "The One Where Ross and Rachel... You Know"

Obviously, this episode is important for being the one where Ross and Rachel have their first official date and... you know. However, what makes this New Year's Day appropriate is that the episode also revolves around Joey and Chandler buying new Barcaloungers for their apartment, which they never want to leave again. The day after your New Year's Eve festivities, that's exactly how you'll feel as well.

Season 3: "The One with the Flashback"

In this Season 3 episode, this sextet remembers what happened one night three years ago when some of them narrowly escaped sleeping with each other. Watching this will make you feel glad the past is over and appreciate the present.

Season 4: "The One with the Embyros"

Phoebe finds out she is pregnant in this episode, and although this wasn't the first birth on Friends, this moment signaled new beginnings for the gang, which is very fitting for the new year.

Season 5: "The One with all the Resolutions"

This is one of the episodes of Friends that actually revolves around New Year's and the group making resolutions. But don't let their hilarious inability to keep theirs stop you from staying true to yours!

Season 6: "The One with the Routine"

This is another New Year's Eve episode of Friends, which you have to watch for Ross and Monica's dance routine, if nothing else.

Season 7: "The One with Monica and Chandler's Wedding (Parts 1 and 2)"

So much new in this episode, so little time. Not only do Monica and Chandler get married, but we also find out Rachel is pregnant. You should watch this with the hope that your life will be just as exciting in the new year.

Season 8: "The One Where Rachel Has a Baby"

We saw plenty of births on Friends, but this one has to be the most satisfying. May the good vibes you'll feel from watching this episode keep you happy all year 'round.

Season 9: "The One with Phoebe's Birthday Dinner"

Phoebe has some pent-up aggression in this episode where she plans a beautiful birthday dinner for herself, and everyone shows up late, basically ruining it. Let Phoebe's infamous "Pick up the sock!" rant inspire you to always speak up.

Season 10: "The One with Ross' Tan"

New year, new look. 'Nuff said.
