Verizon is set to roll out the highly anticipated LG V20 online on Oct. 20, essentially beating the other carriers to the punch.

However, there's a catch: The Big Red is going to put the smartphone up for sale on that day only. That means anyone who wants to try it out first and nab it at a physical store must wait a couple of more days until Oct. 27 arrives.

At this point, the LG V20's official price hasn't been disclosed yet, but if it's in the same ballpark as T-Mobile's offering, then it'll likely hold users back by around $769.99.

Take note that Verizon usually places higher price tags on their products than the others, so there's a pretty good chance the cost will be more than that.

Everything's expected to be cleared up soon, though, as the carrier is going to announce the pricing this week. Needless to say, everyone will probably know what's up before the LG V20 goes live online on Thursday.

It's also worth mentioning that there will be some promotions for the handset, but what exactly those are haven't been divulged just yet — aside from the free pair of B&O H3 earphones, that is.

As a little refresher of the LG V20's specs, it sports a 5.7-inch display with a 1,440 x 2,560 resolution. Under the hood, it's powered by a Snapdragon 820 along with 4 GB of RAM, as well as a 3,200 mAh battery to last throughout the day.

Capacity-wise, it has 64 GB of default storage that's expandable by up to 2 TB thanks to a dedicated microSD card slot.

On the mobile photography front, it has a dual camera configuration — one is a 16-megapixel shooter and the other is an 8-megapixel snapper for wide-angle photos. For selfies and video chats, it has a 5-megapixel sensor.

Now, for the LG V20's availability at other major carriers in the United States, Sprint is going to start taking preorders on Oct. 21, and it plans to ship them out on Oct. 28. Meanwhile, T-Mobile has also put it up for preorder too.

Long story short, it looks like Verizon is out to dominate the market of the smartphone's fans by making it available sooner than expected and ahead of the competition.
