Lenovo is expected to unveil two new smartphones at a press event on Nov. 8. One of those handsets will be the Moto M and complete specs for the device have leaked and show a massive 5,100 mAh battery on board.

When Google announced that it had acquired Motorola in August 2011 for $12.5 billion, the move was widely viewed as Google's opportunity to become an even bigger player in the smartphone game. The company would mirror Apple's approach of building both the hardware and software used for its mobile devices. Unlike Apple who does not license iOS to other companies, Google faced criticism from Android licensees who viewed its Motorola acquisition as a conflict of interest.

Google Sells Motorola To Lenovo At A Loss

Google's acquisition of Motorola never materialized into making Google a major smartphone maker and it sold Motorola to Lenovo at a loss in 2014 for $2.91 billion.

"Lenovo has the expertise and track record to scale Motorola Mobility into a major player within the Android ecosystem," Google CEO Larry Page said in a statement. "This move will enable Google to devote our energy to driving innovation across the Android ecosystem, for the benefit of smartphone users everywhere."

Since its acquisition of Motorola, Lenovo has released several new smartphones and is gearing up to launch two new devices on Nov. 8, which are believed to be the Moto M and Lenovo P2. The complete specs list for one of those smartphones, the Moto M have just leaked, and one of its main features is going to be superior battery life, thanks to a massive 5,100 mAh battery.

Moto M Specs

The Lenovo Moto M will reportedly feature a 5.5-inch 1,920 x 1,080 Full HD Gorilla Glass 4 display and will run with Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The handset will be powered by a 2.0 Ghz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, Adreno 506 GPU (graphics processing unit) and 4 GB LPDDR4 RAM. It will include 64 GB of internal storage and a microSD expansion slot that will support up to 128 GB microSD cards.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Moto M is believed to pack in a 16-megapixel rear camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera for selfies and video chat. The smartphone will feature an all-metal unibody case with a fingerprint scanner located below its rear camera. Its 5,100 mAh non-removable battery will reportedly provide up to 78 hours of talk time and 768 hours of standby time.

Lenovo is expected to make the Moto M official on Nov. 8 and reports suggest the smartphone will go on sale in December. We'll keep you updated on any additional details as they become available.
