A new report claims the recently leaked Motorola Moto G4 and G4 Plus will be launched soon. Lenovo's CEO revealed Motorola will launch an "exciting" device on June 9.

Motorola has been keeping a low profile when it comes to releasing new smartphones. The company's most recent handset, the Droid Turbo 2 was launched last fall and was exclusive to Verizon. Now, things appear to be picking up, thanks to leaked images of two new Motorola smartphones.

The Moto G4 Plus was the first handset to hit the Internet in the form of a leaked image, which backed up a previous report in which a Lenovo executive said that all Moto-branded smartphones launched in 2016 would include fingerprint scanners.

A few days later, images of what is reportedly the Moto G4 made their way on to the web and gave the world a glimpse at its display, square fingerprint scanner, and rear camera, which was soon followed by what appears to be a press image for the white Moto G4.

It shouldn't be much longer before we can expect to hear Motorola make the Moto G4 and Moto G4 Plus official.

Lenovo just unveiled a new smartphone, the Zuk Z2 Pro, and at the handset's launch, the company's CEO Yang Yuanqing revealed that Motorola would be releasing a new and "exciting" device on June 9.

The CEO wouldn't elaborate on just how exciting, or what specs to expect in the Moto G4 and G4 Plus. Judging by their reported official names and like Apple's iPhone 6s and 6s Plus, the Plus moniker is reserved for the larger display smartphone.

While Motorola hasn't been able to keep images and videos of the Moto G4 and G4 Plus from leaking, it has to be commended for keeping details, like their specs, displays, and camera features under wraps.

Luckily, since the photos have already leaked, we should be hearing some news on what their internals will be and if they will be flagship devices or midrange smartphones like Motorola's previous G series. We'll be sure to keep you posted on any news.
