A new update has been released for Overwatch, bringing the version number to 1.5. We understand this update adds a new character known as Sombra, and it's now live on all platforms, which includes the Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and PC.

Sombra is the first new character to be added to the list of heroes since the game went on sale. Her character profile says she's a hacker who comes from Mexico. On the battlefield, Sombra is able to hack enemy weapons along with their first-aid kits to make them useless.

She has an interesting ability known as Thermoptic Camo, which basically puts her in a cloaking state. Here she becomes invisible to enemy's eyes, and she's even faster too. So yes, Sombra is not bad at all, and we see several players having a lot of fun with the character when they go online.

What Are Sombra's Abilities?

Sombra is capable of teleporting by using a special device. She throws it across the field then teleports to wherever the devices lands. This is great for getting out of tight spots or getting behind an enemy. Furthermore, she has the ability to perform a super-hack that disables and disarms defending foes. It's basically an EMP attack, great for when the player is in hostile territory, according to Blizzard.

We should point out that update version 1.5 brings to the table a new map known as Ecopoint: Antarctica. This map should be able to accommodate the new Arcade feature Blizzard has added to the game. A report from Kotaku says this mode is comprised of 1v1 Mystery Duel, 3v3 Elimination, 6v6 Mystery Heroes, 6v6 No Limits and All Brawls.

The desire here is to have players take a spin of heroes they have never used or have barely used. Most players tend to use only one or two characters, and as such, they do not know of the full potential other heroes have under their belt.

As with most updates, this one also irons out a few bugs here and there and improves the overall quality of the game. For example, Ana's nano boost can no longer increase movement speed, and Pharah is capable of flying forever. Those folks who enjoy these heroes will likely love what Blizzard has done, but not so much for the people who hate them.

For those who have yet to play Overwatch, the game will be available for free come Nov. 18 to Nov. 21. That's three days of free gameplay, enough time for players to find out if this game is for them.
