The popularity of the long-running Final Fantasy franchise has allowed it to extend its presence beyond the video game industry, examples of which are the recently released movie Kingsglaive, which sets the stage for the story of Final Fantasy XV, and the partnership that allowed Final Fantasy XIII's Lightning to model for Louis Vuitton.

A new character set to soon be added to Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, however, will take the franchise's pop culture presence to the next level.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius To Add An Ariana Grande Character

Ariana Grande, a three-time American Music Awards winner and a two-time Grammy Awards nominee, announced through her Twitter and Instagram accounts that she will be featured in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, a mobile game that Square Enix released in mid-2016.

"It's the cutest thing I've ever seen in my entire life and I'm so excited and in love with it I cannot contain myself," Grande posted regarding her upcoming character named DW.

A video that she posted on Instagram previewed DW, along with 11 animations. Not much can be learned about the Grande-based character, who will be wearing the singer's signature black bunny ears. It also looks like DW will also be able to bring Grande's singing prowess into Final Fantasy Brave Exvius, as two of the animations show the character singing out notes, with one of the animations even having DW under spotlights.

Another image that Grande uploaded on Instagram before the announcement of her Final Fantasy Brave Exvius character showed the singer in a photoshoot wearing her black bunny ears, which could have foreshadowed DW and Grande's entry in the world of mobile games.

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius Details

Final Fantasy Brave Exvius was released in June 2016 for the iOS and Android as a turn-based RPG that allows players to team up with characters from other Final Fantasy games as well as call on iconic summons such as Shiva and Ifrit.

The mobile games regularly holds special events in conjunction with the announcement of new characters, with the chances of recruiting the new characters increased so that they will be easily added as a party member by players.

It is not clear, however, when DW will be making her appearance in Final Fantasy Brave Exvius or how the Grande-based character will be recruited by players. Square Enix has not yet released an official announcement regarding the new character, which is something that we will have to wait for to learn more about Grande's DW.
