Our latest look at the availability and wait times for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 at the major carriers and retail stores shows varying results, with every major retailer having no stock available in some models.

The Galaxy Note 4 is Samsung's latest high-end phablet, and the company's top entry against both Apple's newly released iPhone 6 Plus and the upcoming Google/Motorola Nexus 6. It sports a 5.7 inch Quad HD display, a high-quality 16 megapixel camera, a hybrid metal/plastic build, and comes complete with Samsung's S Pen stylus.  

The big news since our last report is that Verizon has indeed met its promised Oct.31 release date for the white version of the phablet, and is showing availability online for both colors. However, availability for either color in Verizon retail stores is almost impossible to find, and a search of all Verizon stores within a 50 mile radius of NYC showed not one store with a Galaxy Note 4 in stock.  Best Buy stores actually have the black Verizon model in stock, but show all other models including the white Verizon, and both colors for both AT&T and Sprint as sold out both on line and in retail stores.

Costco currently has no devices at all in stores, only online, and offers both AT&T models and the black Verizon in stock, with the white Verizon version and both for Sprint still listed as "coming soon". While Amazon has a 2-4 week wait for the Sprint black version, it does have the white in stock, though our last check showed only 8 remaining white units, so if you're looking for a white Sprint Galaxy Note 4, act fast. Amazon has the white in stock for AT&T as well, but no black versions, with opposite the case for Amazon's Verizon offering, which is only the black model.

It's still unclear as to whether the supply limitations are a result of higher than expected demand for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4, manufacturing delays and constraints, or a combination of the two.
