Nintendo Portugal committed a booboo when it accidentally leaked Nintendo Switch's development kit menus in an ad released in Portugal.

Nintendo Switch is Nintendo's upcoming game console that fuses mobile gaming and home console system, with 70 games confirmed for release.

This is one of Nintendo Switch's ads. The other one will be shown in the upcoming Super Bowl 51.

The video has been since removed, but as with all things on the internet, somebody took notice and saved the video for everyone to see. In screenshots posted online, the devkit showed the Application, Firmware, and Device menus from the devkit user interface or UI. The Device menu showed different functions such as time setting (manual or auto), sleep mode, idle time detection, battery percentage indicator, and brightness controls. The devkit in question showed a 64 GB storage, which is twice as big as the 32 GB version for sale.

To add to the editing blunder, there was a scene where two players were shown dueling, but the Switch screen was off, showing the cameraman's reflection. The same mishap happened in another part showing two actors playing a kind of "milking a cow" game (the cow sound effects and the motions of the actors revealed it), it's clearly the Cow Milking mode of the 1-2 Switch.

Either the ad was not thoroughly checked during the editing phase or the production team completely missed it. The video has been removed but not long after somebody reposted it. Before Nintendo does a sweep of the YouTube-verse, check out the video below.

A development kit, or SDK, is a programming package that helps a programmer develop apps for a specific platform.

As for Nintendo, it encourages users to develop games and apps for its Nintendo platforms such as 3DS and Switch through its Nintendo Developer Portal.

Nintendo Switch technical specs were revealed to the public during a press event last Jan. 13. One of the noted features of the new console is the Joy-Con controllers. It can be snapped on the main console like a handheld device, used separately as single controllers, or together like a joypad. It also has proximity and motion sensors like the Wii controllers.

Nintendo Switch is due for worldwide commercial release on March 3, 2017. Over 70 games are scheduled to be released for the console.
