Square Enix will bring the first three games in the Seiken Densetsu series, known as the Secret of Mana series in the United States, into the Nintendo Switch.

The Seiken Densetsu Collection will ship in June, but so far, it has only been announced for Japan.

'Seiken Densetsu Collection' For Nintendo Switch

The three games that will be included in the compilation are Final Fantasy Adventure, a spinoff from the Final Fantasy franchise also known as Mystic Quest and originally released in Japan for the Game Boy as Seiken Densetsu: Final Fantasy Gaiden in 1991; Secret of Mana, which was originally released in Japan for the SNES as Seiken Densetsu 2 in 1993; and Seiken Densetsu 3, a game for the Super Famicom that never saw a United States release after being launched in Japan in 1995.

Seiken Densetsu 2 and Seiken Densetsu 3 offer multiplayer modes, supporting up to three players. The games will not be direct ports though, as there will be new features added to the titles.

Among the new features include quick saves, which will allow players to save at any point in the game, and Music Mode, which will allow players to listen to the different soundtracks of each game from their home screens.

In addition, the first Seiken Densetsu game will offer a screen change mode, which will allow players to enjoy the game in different screen sizes.

The Seiken Densetsu Collection will launch in Japan on June 1, and will be sold for ¥4,800, which is equivalent to about $43.

Will The 'Seiken Densetsu Collection' Come To The United States?

Square Enix has not revealed whether the Seiken Densetsu Collection will also come to North America, which would bring Seiken Densetsu 3 to the United States for the first time.

However, because the compilation will be released both physically through retail stores and digitally through the eShop, and due to the region-free settings of the Nintendo Switch, customers in the United States will be able to purchase a digital copy of the Seiken Densetsu Collection. However, understanding the games will be a different matter, as they will of course be in Japanese.

If you are a Nintendo Switch gamer who knows how to read Japanese, then give this upcoming compilation a look once it is launched.

Nintendo Switch Games

According to a GameStop executive, the Nintendo Switch is on track to possibly beat the sales figures of the Nintendo Wii, which has sold over 10 million units. However, for the hybrid console to achieve such a feat, one of the deciding factors are the games that will be introduced for the system.

Over the first week of the Nintendo Switch, 1.5 million units of the hybrid console were sold, with 89 percent of purchases coming with a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Nintendo will now look to continue that momentum with upcoming releases that include Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Arms, Splatoon 2, Super Mario Odyssey, the recently revealed Sonic Forces, and for Japan, the Seiken Densetsu Collection.
