Nintendo took the wraps off three new Zelda amiibo and announced the release dates for the Cloud, Corrin, and Bayonetta amiibo during Nintendo Direct.

What's in store are the Majora's Mask Link, Twilight Princess Link, and Skyward Sword Link. It should also be mentioned that development of the Final Fantasy VII hero, the Fire Emblems Fate leading protagonist, and the Bayonetta anti-heroine was already revealed back in December 2015.

New 'Zelda' Amiibo Unveiled

Part of The Legend of Zelda 30th Anniversary amiibo series, the Majora's Mask Link, Twilight Princess Link, and Skyward Sword Link are expected to become available on June 30.

In the latest iteration Breath of the Wild, these figures are believed to unlock more in-game armor sets that are tailored to their corresponding installments.

One set worth noting is the Fierce Deity gear, which was unearthed by some hackers digging through the game's code. For those who don't know, it's based on Link's appearance when he puts on the Fierce Deity's Mask — no surprises there — in Majora's Mask.

Meanwhile, the Twilight Princess Link amiibo is likely the key to complete the Twilight set, but the already-released Super Smash Bros. Link can yield the gear too, which can also be tapped to get Epona.

Cloud, Corrin, And Bayonetta Amiibo Get Release Dates

The Cloud, Corrin, and Bayonetta amiibo are scheduled to hit the shelves on July 21, and these figures are mainly for Super Smash Bros. on the 3DS and Wii U.

What's more, each one of them will be available in two costumes: Cloud with his standard outfit and his Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children garb, Corrin in both male and female variations, and Bayonetta with her costumes from the first Bayonetta and Bayonetta 2.

Interestingly enough, these three characters are the last ones joining the roster of Super Smash Bros.

Nintendo Direct Presentation

Aside from expanding the amiibo lineup, the Nintendo Direct presentation showed off the new Neon Yellow Joy-Con and strap combo.

It also gave out the release dates of more upcoming Switch games, including Splatoon 2, Arms, Disgaea 5 Complete, Puyo Puyo Tetris, and Sonic Forces, to name a few.

Needless to say, the 2017 Nintendo Direct livestream turned out to be huge, and that's just the beginning, as the company will also have a "big E3 this year," head honcho Reggie Fils-Aimé says.
