Drones are primarily known for one of two things: unwanted surveillance, or shooting missiles into your house. Sure, they are being adapted for other uses, but let's not forget what they were originally created for. TGI Fridays in the U.K. seemed to have missed that memo and will be using the flying machines to deliver mistletoe to the tables of holiday diners.

That's right; nothing says holiday cheer and romance like a small plant delivered via robot death machine, commanding you by its presence to kiss your date. Better yet, each drone is equipped with a camera, ensuring your intimate moment will be recorded for all the world to see!

The restaurant announced the promotion earlier today with the video below. TGI Fridays says half of U.K. residents have never had a kiss under the mistletoe, and is looking for the drone to change that.

"We're known for legendary celebrations at Fridays, so we wanted to see how we could make Christmas get-togethers in our restaurants even more entertaining, and offer guests the encouragement they need to make their move," TGI Friday's rep Rachel Waller told the Manchester Evening News. "Our mistletoe drones are the perfect way to do this. Not only are they great fun for the entire restaurant, but they help people get a little closer at this time of the year."

Perfect doesn't seem like the correct word choice, but it will definitely make for an interesting experience as the drone hovering overhead blows your hair in every direction and drowns out your conversation. It will be even more interesting when it crashes into your food.
