For a lot of people, The Daily Show with Jon Stewart is a primary news source simply because he makes all of the terrible news in our world tolerable to watch. With so much tragedy and horror out there, being able to poke fun makes everything seem slightly less awful. Unfortunately, even Mr. Stewart wasn't able to make last night seem any better.

When the ruling from the Eric Garner case came down, it was only inevitable that people would lash out. Even more so than the Michael Brown case, it was so open-and-shut that any ruling other than an indictment should have been impossible - so, when The Daily Show went live, fans were wondering how Stewart would react. As it turns out, he would sum up the entire case rather eloquently:

"We are definitely not living in a post-racial society. And I can imagine there are a lot of people wondering how much of a society we're living in at all."
