Christmas is here, and where else would the Doctor be but right in the middle of the action?

This year's Doctor Who Christmas Special, titled "Last Christmas," finds the Doctor reuniting with his best friend Clara for a holiday gone awry. All we know for sure is that showrunner Stephen Moffat has described it as "Miracle On 34th Street meets Alien," and that it's definitely got some real scares and thrills. Oh, and Nick Frost guest stars in the role that he was (based on his name) always meant to play: Santa Claus.

The totally realz Santa Claus, not some weird alien or time travel mishap monster-of-the-week. (Can't wait to see how Moffat explains the existence of a magical being like Santa in DW's traditional science fiction universe.) And even better, he appears to be running backup for the Doctor. There's something kind of perfect about that particular partnership, and it feels like it was always destined to happen.

This new trailer for "Last Christmas" may be short — it clocks in at just over 33 seconds — but it packs a serious wallop.

It also boasts one of the best lines to ever grace a Doctor Who Christmas Special:

"Come on! It's Christmas [at] the North Pole. Who you gonna call?"

Not the Ghostbusters, that's for sure.
