Cricket Wireless has officially announced that starting on Friday, June 22, it is offering the Moto E5 Supra Android smartphone with a monster battery.

While most of the attention nowadays goes toward top-notch flagships with beefy specs, lower-end devices are still popular among consumers looking to get a budget-friendly device.

Moto E5 Supra At Cricket Wireless

Motorola has raised the bar when it comes to its budget devices, and its recent line of Moto E handsets launched back in April have plenty to offer at affordable price points. The Moto E5 Supra, basically just a Moto E5 Plus by a different name, is now available on Cricket Wireless at just $179.99.

The Moto E5 Supra is available both online and in authorized Cricket Wireless retail stores, for both new and existing customers. Don't expect any impressive high-end specs, but the Moto E5 Supra should deliver a good experience without breaking the bank.

Moto E5 Supra Specs

The smartphone features a large 6-inch edge-to-edge display with an HD+ resolution, which makes it suitable for movie streaming or other forms of media consumption and entertainment. The Moto E5 Supra also comes with front speakers and Cricket Wireless touts "crystal-clear sound."

Under the hood, the handset packs an octa-core Snapdragon 435 processor clocked at 1.4GHz and paired 3 GB of RAM. While it's not exactly a top combination, it should be more than decent for a sub-$200 smartphone.

Other specifications include 32 GB of native storage space, expandable with the help of a microSD card, a 12-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front shooter, Android 8.0 Oreo on the software side, and a massive 5,000 mAh battery that should deliver a solid performance on a single charge.

The Moto E5 Supra also comes with water-repellent coating that should keep it safe from accidental spills and the occasional splash. Keep in mind, however, that it doesn't mean that it's water-resistant, so keep the exposure to a minimum.

The large 5,000 mAh battery is the main selling point of the Moto E5 Supra, making it stand out from the rest of Motorola's Moto E5 line. It's worth pointing out that the Moto E5 Supra seems to be an exclusive to Cricket Wireless, but that's just because of the rebranding. In fact, it's identical to the Moto E5 Plus, sporting the exact same specs, features, and design.

In terms of features, the smartphone comes with popular Moto features such as Moto Display, Moto Actions, and Turbo Power fast charging.
