The much-anticipated unveiling of Nokia's latest phone will happen on Aug. 21, the company announced on its Twitter account.

On its Twitter account, Nokia Mobile posted a silhouette image of a handset along with the text "get ready to unveil the most awaited phone." Also included in the tweet is the date of the announcement, which is Tuesday. The tweet also includes the hashtag #BringItOn.

While Nokia is silent on what phone it will launch, many tech sites are predicting that it will be the Nokia 9, which will be the company's flagship unit that will go up against the likes of iPhone X and Galaxy Note 9.

Details Of Nokia 9 Still Unclear

While Nokia 9 details are still unavailable, it is expected to contain Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset along with other goodies, such as an OLED display, for its new model. The use of the OLED display will put Nokia 9 in the same price and quality range with the Galaxy S9 and iPhone X.

It is also highly anticipated that Nokia 9 will come out of the box with an Android 9 Pie and an in-display fingerprint sensor, which will further put the brand into the mainstream market. When it comes to camera, Nokia might include a three-camera setup. Until now, there are no available details for Nokia 9, as the company is known for keeping its secrets airtight.

The Nokia 9 might turn out to be a heavy-hitter in the smartphone market dominated by Samsung S9, Samsung Note 9, and iPhone X. Fortunately, the wait to find out for sure will not be too long if Nokia can return to prominence in the smartphone market.

Nokia 9 To Have Three-Camera Setup

The Nokia 9 has been leaked on several occasions. Based on past leaks, Nokia's new phone could sport a three-camera setup, like the Huawei P20 Pro. Nokia 9 could carry a 41-megapixel primary camera with OIS, wide-angle lens, and dual aperture f/1.5 to f/2.4, supported by a 20-megapixel sensor and a telephoto lens. The quality of Nokia 9's camera will put it alongside the category of Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy Note 9.

Nokia 9 is expected to have a 21-megapixel front camera with ZEISS optics, and the third camera could have a monochrome sensor with a 9.7-megapixel resolution. In addition, Nokia 9 could also have a 6.1-inch QHD AMOLED display, 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB onboard storage, a 3,900 mAh battery, fast charging, and wireless fast charging. For connectivity, Nokia 9 is anticipated to have dual-SIM cards, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth, and GPS.
