Nicki Minaj and Cardi B got into a fight during Harper's Bazaar ICONS Fashion Week event held in New York.

The fight that broke out between the female rap icons was purportedly caused by the comments made about Kulture, Cardi B's daughter. According to sources, Nicki was taking a picture with Kelly Rowland and La La Anthony when Cardi B walked past her.

Nicki then intentionally stepped on the train of Cardi's outfit. This prompted Cardi B to throw her footwear at Minaj but missed. Part of Cardi B's wig was even pulled off during the fight. Reports suggest that the mishap happened at a table where Minaj was at.

Following the scandal, Cardi was thrown out by security. A witness took a video of what happened, which quickly became viral. In the video, Cardi B can be clearly seen attacking someone, although it is uncertain of who it is.

When Cardi B exited the magazine's party, she had a big bump of her forehead and her dress was torn. She was also seen barefoot.

After the fight, Cardi posted her sentiments on Instagram to defend herself.

"I addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea," she wrote.

She added that when Nicki mentioned her child, she considered all bets off. Nicki's comment about Cardi B being a mother and questioning her parenting skills pushed the singer over the edge. Cardi B gave birth to her daughter with her husband Offset on July 10.

Tension Between The Female Rappers

The fight was said to be a culmination of a tension building between the famous musicians. Notably, Minaj rapped about burying the Bardi in the opening track of her new Queen album.

Following this, Cardi B responded in the VMAs last month about Minaj's claims that she paid for her success.

"That's something money can't buy," she announced during her acceptance speech for her Best New Artist award.

According to sources, no arrest had happened because of the fight, however, investigations are still underway. Officers from the New York Police Department were also present during the scene.

The party was the fifth #BAZAARICONS annual event where celebrities, such as Lady Gaga, have performed. Before the incident happened, models Bella Hadid and Kendall Jenner walked the party's red carpet. Christina Aguilera was set to perform when the two singers got physical.

Notably, the two female rappers were photographed smiling and interacting with each other during the Met Gala in May. This sparked rumors that they have already made up. However, Minaj allegedly spoke ill about Cardi B before the red carpet.

"You know what, because I'm the bad guy, and I wanted to make sure that the bad guy was here," Minaj stated.
