Hollywood action stars have long been household names; Sylvester Stallone, Jason Statham, Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, and more are so familiar to movie lovers everywhere. They're the heroes that bring the classic action movies to life. What helped propel them to success?

Dedication to Their Craft

Aspiring action stars must have a laser focus on their goals, like Chris van Heerden. The South African former International Boxing Organisation (IBO) welterweight champion maintains a strict training schedule, regardless of what happens outside the gym.

"I always tell people what you see me do in the ring, as scary as it is, that is me having fun. All the hard work you have done now is done. What you don't see is the training. The toughest thing for me is the diet." Van Heerden shared in an interview, reinforcing that he trains even in the off-season, to make sure his body is in shape, and at the correct weight class.

Background in Fighting or MMA

Professional fighters haven't always reached mainstream Hollywood success, unlike their counterparts in gymnastics, bodybuilding, or other pro sports. However, professional fighters can not only make the leap, but succeed in unheard of ways, such as Jackie Chan.

Chan is one of the most well-known actors in the world, and is famous for performing all of his own stunts. He began studying martial arts and acting as a child, developing both skills from a young age to eventually be considered a successor to Bruce Lee. Jackie Chan blended his two passions, going on to star in the Rush Hour series, The Karate Kid, and countless kung fu films. Fighters can succeed in Hollywood, they just need the skills and support to get there.

Great Directors with a Vision

In the last decade, there has been a resurgence of action movies. Whether they're about superheroes, antiheroes, or classic stories that everyone knows, anyone can see there's a need for a new class of action stars, led by directors that dominate the genre.

Major genre directors, like Michael Bay (Transformers series) or Ridley Scott (Gladiator, Alien) have helmed action movies for most of their careers, and each has projects still in the works. Modern action directors, like Joss Whedon and the Russo Brothers, have massively growing opportunities, primarily due to their work with Marvel. These directors, among others, are all primed to help a new group of action stars take Hollywood by storm.

What if There was a New Path to the Global Stage?

For the first time, fighters from around the world will compete to become the next major action star. The competition consists of three rounds; registration, contest rounds, and the grand finale. The first round, registration, welcomes fighters from across the globe, encouraged by Fight to Fame ambassadors. They will fight in preliminary rounds to determine the final competitors before moving onwards. The worldwide search will generate a lot of excitement and interest in fighters.

The second round, the contest rounds, are where the real competition begins. Five event rounds; stage punching, stunt work, endurance/fitness training, marketing/media training, and acting training, will bring in famous industry mentors to get the fighters in shape for their future careers. Viewers will be able to vote each week for their favorite fighters, using an innovative blockchain token system. Even those fighters that don't win will get an unprecedented chance in the spotlight, building their fans and giving their careers a head start.

During the last competitive round, the Grand Finale, fighters will face an extreme test of the training they faced in earlier rounds. This final test will give fighters a chance to show off the skills they've gained over the course of the competition, in various forms of martial arts. Viewers will get to see which fighters win the Championship Gold Belts, and which start their Hollywood career.

Action stars have always come from a variety of fields, from gymnastics to bodybuilding, and Fight to Fame wants to see more fighters join the new class of Hollywood heroes.
