CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077 is perhaps one of the most awaited and biggest game launches of early 2020, and additional details have been shared about the title during this year's The Game Awards, including the music behind the game.

The Music to Set the Mood

To set every gamer's mood while playing Cyberpunk 2077, CD Projekt Red will be drawing music from different genres, including hip-hop, electronic, alternative, and of course, popular punk.

Grimes will be one of the artists who will provide their music to Cyberpunk 2077.

There are quite a few artists who will be contributing their music to the game, including the following:

  • A$AP Rocky

  • Deadly Hunta

  • Gazelle Twin

  • Grimes

  • Ilan Rubin

  • Nina Kraviz

  • Rat Boy

  • Refused

  • Richard Devine

  • Run the Jewels

  • Tina Guo

Cyberpunk 2077's In-Game Band

Additionally, an in-game band known as Samurai will also be supplying music for Cyberpunk 2077 and its fans, with its lead singer Johnny Silverhand who will be played by the one and only Keanu Reeves.

However, DualShockers reported that while Reeves might be the face of Silverhand, the vocals will be provided by the Swedish punk band Refused.

Samurai's first official track is entitled Chippin' In, and it has been released along with the game's latest trailer, and it won't be impossible to be hearing more from this fictional punk band as Cyberpunk 2077's release date draws near.

The Night City in Minecraft

Meanwhile, fans are incredibly hyped with the arrival of the game, and some are already paying homage to the game, including a Minecraft player who built a futuristic metropolis inspired by the Night City in Cyberpunk 2077.

The Minecraft city, dubbed as Cyberpunk Projekt, was made by YouTube content creator Elysium Fire who shared a timelapse video on how the Night City-inspired metropolis came to be.

Looking at Elysium's channel, it's not the first time the YouTuber has created something as complex and well-detailed as the Cyberpunk Projekt since the content creator has been sharing otherworldly Minecraft creations for a few years now.

According to Kotaku, the map will be released and available for download starting on Christmas day.

Smaller Map?

And speaking of maps, Cyberpunk 2077's map has been released along with the artbook that comes with the game's Deluxe Edition—and it seems like the game's map will be smaller than usual, especially compared to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt's map.

Nonetheless, the game is filled with sky-high buildings, and it can definitely change the gaming experience, unlike with The Witcher 3, wherein the map is basically a vast space of green grass, rocky terrains, and woods.

With that, it's not surprising that Cyberpunk 2077's actual map during the game may seem bigger than it looks when laid out.

CD Projekt Red's latest title is an open-world, action-adventure game set in a futuristic megapolis known as Night City, starring Keanu Reeves.

The game will be available on PC, Stadia, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One starting on April 16, 2020 and is available for pre-order today.

The story revolves around V, who players get to control, a mercenary outlaw who is going after a cybernetic implant that could be the key to immortality. The game allows you to customize V's cyberware, playstyle, and skills to suit your gameplay.
