As the New Year approaches, another edition of the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2020 is set to come along, as well. Every year, technology followers looking forward to which products and categories will be highlighted to the big annual tech event. Last year, tech experts predicted that some of the leading trends for CES, with "AI Inside" as one of them, which remarkably came true, and will keep on being a focus in the coming year. 

However, what will the other themes be at CES 2020? While several product surprises are sure to get a part of the highlights, believably, there are five different themes expected to be a mainstay at the upcoming event. These themes include 5G Technology, new devices, self-driving vehicles, gaming headsets, and more advanced streaming platforms. Just because there are five categories or themes mentioned, it doesn't mean they are the only ones you'll find in the electronics exhibit. TVs are part of the must-look-forward-to features during the yearly affair.

Five CES 2020 Leaders

As CES 2020 nears, the picture of what themes will lead the event becomes clearer and more transparent. These are the categories with products that are expected to generate huge income for both their respective manufacturers and sellers. Read on and find out which one catches your interest the most.

1. 5G Technology 

While the coming year is not bringing consumers a 5G iPhone yet, it doesn't mean that the 5G Technology will no longer be an extremely hot topic at the CES 2020 anymore. This year has been a big year for the said new Technology with chipmakers, including Huawei and Qualcomm, actively declaring new platforms with carriers all over the world rolling out the 5G networks which also include the recent launch of T-Mobile in the US that brought 5G to an approximate 200 million Americans.

2. New Devices (Including New Shapes, Sizes, and Formats)

In terms of 5G, it is about to find its way into numerous new devices, although it won't be the lone thing that will drive the innovation of devices. CES is a known gadget exhibit, and everybody sees it winding down the "Big TV" exhibition and continued the CES momentum as among the best shows to introduce new tech products. Because of this, expect a whole range of new handheld devices, not to mention the next-Gen PCs to be on display during the show.

3. Self-Driving Vehicles 

The CES floor can look and feel quite like an auto show, as the next trend on vehicle technology, not to mention, being a hot CES topic for over 10 years. The vehicles have been turbo-charged as electric and autonomous cars, gaining massive momentum. Relatively, these vehicles are set to be on display, and undoubtedly, there will be several cool concept vehicles full-packed with futuristic Technology, including the self-driving feature.

4. Gaming Headsets

CES has long been a famous place to launch the headset technology, as the promise of MR, VR and AR have all continued to be a hot topic in spite of only a few of the most thrilling technology apps, gaming momentum. For gamers, VR gaming has been a favorite with "Oculus," is the leader in the category. In 2018, at MWC, Microsoft introduced the HoloLens2, which everyone thought showed serious potential for "enterprise use circumstances." However, the same speculators think they'd see more of this at the CES 2020, "concept lightweight wearable AR gadgets" that can be drawn from the tap off the mobile devices.

5. More Advance Streaming Platforms

This may not totally be a gadget at all, 2018 has been a regular session of the most prominent tech players swinging their content products at one another as Netflix is seeing not just Amazon but Disney and Apple, as well, making their respective massive entrances into the streaming content battles. As devices may function as the cool short-term highlight of the event, eventually, streaming is what's done on those devices that are set to dictate their success.
