PUBG Mobile, the top-ranked Battle Royale game from Tencent, is dropping its latest update tomorrow. Entitled patch 0.16.5, the patch brings a new season pass, as well as a new map, a new vehicle, a new mode, and some minor weapon balancing.

This is Domination

PUBG Mobile is adding a new game mode to its already somewhat-crowded option. Domination is a team game where players are split into two teams. The red and blue teams have to capture two out of three points on the map to win the round.

The Map it is taking place in is called "Town," which has some very special loots such as a Super Weapons Crates that has some pretty explosive firepower to give out. RPGs, grenade launchers, and missiles are just some of the weapons players can loot from these crates.

New Map for Better Aim

The update also adds a new training map, which is based on the Warehouse map. Here, players can test out any weapon from PUBG Mobile, allowing them to practice aiming, recoil, and movement without diving into a game and looking for the exact weapon they want to test (only to get shot and die from someone camping the crate or weapon).

Futuristic Season 11

A new patch also means a new season pass. Season 11 features new missions and new rewards. This time, the rewards are all future themed, so expect lots of glowing visors, skin-tight battle suits, and menacing jackets.

New in this battle pass is multi-option missions which can be completed in a variety of game modes. Some missions can be completed in multiple modes such as Team Arena, Payload, Battle Royale, giving players more choice in completing missions and progressing their season pass.

Additional Addons

The patch also brings some minor improvements to other aspects of the game. In Team Arena, the Groza's single-shot damage has been lowered from 48 to 46. The minor nerf is only applicable in Team Arena, so the Groza's damage is unchanged in other game modes.

Classic Battle Royale is also getting a new vehicle. The Light Snowmobile (also known as the Snow Bike) is being added to the game and is only accessible in Vikendi. It can seat two and is much faster than the regular Snowmobile. However, this agile upgrade does have a downside: Its less resilient to damage, making a stop and go maneuvers much harder to pull off. The Light Snowmobile is replacing the regular motorcycle on the map, so don't be too surprised if you don't see them around in Vikendi anymore.

The patch is also giving players who update early some neat little bonuses. For those who update between Jan. 9 and 15, they'll get 20 silver, 2,000 BP, and 1 Blue Glider Trail. They'll also receive a season recap, showing their stats from the previous season. Players will receive a title based on their play style the previous season, and a ranking based on their Classic mode skill. They'll also be able to see their game highlights from last season, as well as their teammates as well.

Banned users can now find out the exact reason why they were banned as well. Banned players can go to the Security Zone to find out the reason why they are disallowed from entering the game.
