In an attempt to decrease the risk of infection from the coronavirus or Covid-19, the government has advised people to practice social distancing by not going out unless absolutely necessary. Although this may seem like a bad thing for most people, gamers do not have a problem with this at all since this means that there would be more time to work on the previous games which have not yet been finished yet and even try out new ones! Epic Game's Borderlands 3 is finally out on Steam which should be an interesting way to spend your extra hours at home!

Borderlands 3 Social Distancing

Borderlands 3 launched last fall

Gearbox Software's latest shooting game, Borderlands 3 has finally launched last fall for different consoles like Google Stadia and of course the PC after quite a long time of fans having to wait for the release of this game. Now that it is finally available on Steam, the convenience of playing this game has gotten a whole lot easier allowing most people to get a hold of it.

What a timely game for social distancing

The game focuses on a post apocalyptical adventure and although none of this is true to life as of now, it would be the best way to enjoy adventuring without even having to step outside! The quirky but awesome graphics of Borderlands 3 has been a style that is much distinguishable compared to other art styles and to apply this to a video game, this definitely makes for interesting visuals!

Better hurry!

Although the game is now available on Steam, do not expect it to be available forever as 2K has only agreed to put this on Epic Games Store for a limited amount of time! You heard that right, this game will not be permanently available on Steam and if you want to get this game, you better move fast!

2K has a habit of being picky with their distribution partners and although this leaves out a general portion of gamers, this has worked really well in 2K's favor over the years. The coronavirus or Covid-19 has called for tech companies including videogame companies to extend whatever help they can extend to encourage people to practice social distancing in hopes of decreasing the risk of infection.

The commercial success of Borderlands 3

Borderlands was reported to have sold 5 million copies within the first five days of its launch to the market and this has pushed Borderlands into the $1 billion franchise club! This has made Borderlands very careful with their reputation and 2K is properly protecting this game by only offering it to the perfect platforms.
