With the Coronavirus going on, this has caused a lot of people to panic buy all over the world. Resulting in scarce resources like medical supplies and toilet paper. One Australian mom decided she had enough of people buying everything that she resorted to making her own toilet paper. This was after she had four failed attempts in buying at the Supermarket.

She found a solution to the toilet paper problem

The Australian woman took it to Facebook to share her thoughts on the matter since she lives in a household full of women.

She has stated that "I found my solution at Bunnings. I made 80 of these microfibre cloths. After use, they go straight into a bucket of bleach with a lid on it which sits beside the toilet. A pack of 20 microfibre cloths costs about $11.95 from Bunnings and The small bucket with the lid cost $6.50. Our household alone saves about 25 flushes per day, so I can justify a small load to wash every couple of days."

She had explained that whenever the bucket is already filled with microfibre cloths, she then puts them all in the washing machine in a different and separate load with Napisan. To make these cloths, she cuts them into pieces of quarters which made her come up with 80 of these in just 20 cloths.

Even though this is not ideal when it comes to toilet papers, she said that these are pretty much environmentally friendly and can be reused again plus it reduces flushing in the house to save water. Not to mention, very low cost.

The woman also said that if everyone else can do this, it would mean saving up money and water plus fewer trips in the SUpermarket which doesn't give a lot of options for buyers thanks to all the panic buying. She as well has gotten a lot of praise from people on Facebook.

Bulk-buying has affected a lot of moms

Other people should realize that bulk-buying is not for everyone. Some people can afford while others just can't. One mom has resulted in crying on TikTok when she realized there were no more diapers left at any of the stores she went to. Leaving her heartbroken.

The TikTok video shows the woman crying and saying "How am I supposed to diaper my child if I can't afford 20 at a time like you can?"

She told BuzzFeed that she took the video and accidentally posted it. Debating on whether or not to take it down, she decided that it needed to be seen instead.

She hopes that whoever has watched the video would understand how panic-buying and hoarding make it hard for people who have low-income families and families that are on a budget. Though, she did finally found two boxes on her way home. She bought one and left the other for someone else.
