Pokemon Unite is entering the MOBA world, but will it be comparable to League of Legends, Mobile Legends, or even DOTA 2? According to Venture Beat's latest report, Tencent was announced to be working with the Pokemon company to develop a multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) version of its popular game, Pokemon United.

The report explained that multiple lanes are found in MOBA games, with two opposing teams that could invade each lane having five characters each. A total of 10 players will match up against each other, having one hero controlled by each. Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) 2 and League of Legends are just a few of the games that made the genre popular in the last few years.

Although Pokemon Unite doesn't have a release date yet, it was confirmed that it would be available on Switch and mobile devices. The game will be developed by Time Studios which created Honor Kings. Cross-platform play will be supported by Pokemon Unite, which will be a free-to-start game. Although it will be free, players will still have to spend money to access more content.

Pokemon Unite fans want a bigger console experience

Pokemon Unite will have two opposing teams with five players each: Pikachu, Gengar, Clefable, Snorlax, Squirtle, Lucario, Charmander, and other Pokemons will be available to play. The Pokemon in the game can evolve into new forms as they level up during the match.

However, the fans seem to be upset even with the big reveal since they want a bigger console experience instead of a mobile game. According to Gamerant's latest report, Pokemon Sleep and Sinnoh are currently trending on Twitter, but, it's not because of the big announcements.

The Pokemon company didn't include Pokemon Sleep in its latest announcement today, June 24. Pokemon fans are bashing the Pokemon event on Twitter, saying that Pokemon Sleep's gameplay is a boring one.

However, some of the fans are also looking forward to the release of Pokemon Sleep, a game that helps players track their sleeping patterns. The Pokemon Company was believed to heavily prioritize mobile games instead of focusing on bigger console experience, which is the current frustration of fans.

However, the company claimed that it can maintain the current biennial Pokemon main series release schedule while expanding into smaller, better monetized Pokemon experience, in which the company sees more benefit.
