There's a new Pokemon game that can be added to the franchise's vast array of titles, from the anime to the movies as well as the official games on various platforms. Now, the Pokemon Cafe Mix is finally available on Nintendo Switch and mobile devices.

Casual Puzzle Game From the Pokemon Company

For those who have just heard of this new game, it's a casual, puzzle game where players would have to link happy familiar faces of various Pokemon to create drinks and foods, which you'll then need to complete orders.

As you complete the orders, you'll earn bonuses and cafe items that will make future levels easier.

According to VG247Pokemon Cafe Mix is free on both Switch and mobile, but as with most games, there are in-app purchases that you can do not just to support the developers but also to make your gameplay experience better and easier.

You can typically earn Acorns, which you'll use to buy more moves, as well as Hearts, which you can use to retry if you have failed one level as time passes by.

However, you can also buy them using real money if you don't have enough patience.

How to Recruit Pikachu and Gain Acorns

As the game continues and as you complete orders and levels, you'll also start earning Friendship Stars and Golden Acorns that could be used to recruit adorable Pokemon to expand your cafe.

Most of the Pokemon in the game could be recruited by simply improving your Friendship Star Level with them, and you can do that by completing orders.

However, there's one exception: Pikachu.

Pikachu can only be recruited in Pokemon Cafe Mix in two ways: by buying the Special Pikachu Pack for $4.99 that includes Pikachu, a Skill Plus bonus, 4900 Acorns, and horizontal and vertical Megaphone maker. Or you can log-in every day for five days during the game's grand-opening celebration.

There are also a few other special Item Packs you can get any time with various price points from $2.99 up to $50, and they would include thousands of Acorns, Skill Plus, as well as a variety of power-ups to help you complete more orders.

If you just want the Acorns, Pokemon Cafe Mix also has a few of them included.

There are also the Daily Stamp Board Challenges, wherein completing three challenges can earn you around 1,000 to 1,500 Acorns.

New Pokemon Presents Livestream

Pokemon Cafe Mix was part of the announcements during the Pokemon Presents Livestream.

Along with the new game came announcements for the Pokemon Smile, a new app that encourages young kids and perhaps even adults alike to have good dental hygiene habits.

There's also the new Pokemon Snap as well as announcements for new in-game events on Pokemon GO as well as on Pokemon Sword and Shield, such as the arrival of the game's first DLC: the Isle of Armor.

For those who haven't checked out the Livestream or are hoping for more news, the Pokemon Company will be holding a new Pokemon Presents Livestream on Wednesday, June 24, according to GameSpot.
