Do you want to know what outer space smells like? What's the first thing that astronauts smell like when they enter their spacecraft? A NASA-inspired perfume has recently been made, and it is now funded on Kickstarter. In a shocking fact, though, the perfume has made a phenomenal impact on everyone that has seen it--currently funded by thousands of people, reaching over $300,000. Do you want to buy it?

Eau de Space: The smell of space

On June 30, Tech Times reported an interesting item in Kickstarter that got to be the most clever but so curious perfume in the world.

Eau de Space, a high-quality space perfume meant to imitate what the outer space smells like and partnered by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) itself, has now gone trending world.

Since the news pops up, everyone is excited to know how it smells like. Due to people's deep curiosity, the Kickstarter item, which was first funded worth $60,000 in June, is now looking at a much larger amount worth over $300,000.

On Monday, July 6, Eau de Space has nearly 8,000 backers on its name and exactly $337,000 pledges since the day it started its promotion.

The campaign seemed to be simple. Help the company of Matthew Richmond reached its goal to fund the production of a perfume bottle that claims to smell like the perfect imitation of how outer space smells like.

"Through sheer determination, grit, a lot of luck, and a couple of Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests, we got it out," the campaign's organizers wrote." Now we need your help to mass manufacturer it so that everyone can experience the Smell of Space for themselves."

Though it sounds plain, the item is not. Who would not want to know what space smells like, right?

How much is the one bottle?

If you're one of the most intrigued space fans out there and like to have a set of these perfume, here are the things you should know.

Back in June, a bottle of Eau de Space ranges from $10 up to $15. Based on the website, all the funding proceeds will be sent to a local K-12 STEM program. However, since the prices are now more popular than ever, you can now buy a bottle for exactly $29.

What does outer space smells like?

One of the many mysteries in space is what astronauts smell whenever they leave the Earth's atmosphere? CNN released a 2002 interview with Peggy Whitson, an astronaut and former resident of the International Space Station.

She revealed that space smells like something smokey. So that means that could be the smell of the Eau de Space bottle worth nearly $30.

"It's kind of like a smell from a gun, right after you fire the shot," said her. "I think it kind of has almost a bitter kind of smell in addition to being smoky and burned."
