The two major anime platforms also served the global community for over a decade. However, the stricter Japanese copyright laws have officially closed both services on Aug. 14.

"KissManga and KissAnime will be closed forever. Thank you for your supports. Thank you for those years," wrote the KissAnime support team.

New websites started to surface after KissAnime's closure, claiming that they have the official anime content from KissManga and KissAnime. Udou's latest report warned that these websites should not be accessed since they are highly dangerous for user's devices and used for phishing purposes.

YouTube will soon have AnimeLog, a free anime channel

More than 30 Japanese anime production companies have worked together to create a YouTube channel called AnimeLog, that would provide the fans with free anime content.

According to Bounding Into Comic's latest report, the new channel holds licenses for content produced by Tezuka Productions (Astro Boy, Black Jack), Shin-ei Animation (Doraemon, Crayon Shin-chan), Nippon Animation (Anne of the Green Gables, Hunter x Hunter), and Toei Animation (Digimon, One Piece).

The organizations' goal is to reach insurmountable views monthly by releasing over 3000 anime titles by 2022. Currently, Japan is the only country that has AnimeLog. However, it will soon be released to international subscribers on Chinese-subbed and English-subbed titles.

"Some of the works may be expressively inappropriate," noted AnimeLog, confirming that it will also remove anime's censorship.
