Blizzard Entertainment's co-founder Mike Morhaime has launched a new game company called Dreamhaven, which has already established two new game studios; Secret Door and Moonshot. The new company, which is based in Irvine, California, suggests that Morhaime and his wife are not done yet with games even though they left Blizzard in 2018.

Dreamhaven's CEO would be Morhaime, while Amy Morhaime, his wife, will head the company's operations. They already hired numerous game industry veterans, mostly those who already worked for Blizzard, to help them manage the studios, which will work on sperate games.

The startup company is pretty ambitious since working on two games simultaneously. However, it is possible and was already proven by Harold Ryan's Probably Monster in Seattle.

This company also has two studios, just like Dreamhaven, and works on two games at once. Morkhaime's new game company is unique since it will be funding it themselves. Dreamhaven team's goal is to help bring creators' ideas to life, empower them, and develop authentic gaming experience that will improve meaningful connections between the players.

Important information about Dreamhaven

Right now, Dreamhaven only has 27 employees across all three entities, and it is still looking to hire more staff. The company's artwork on its official website combines aspects of both science fiction and fantasy. However, it hasn't announced yet what games it will be working on or what genres it would be focusing on.

"We're almost trying to create a haven for creators who want an environment that is development-friendly, values product, and player experience over short-term financial pressures," said Morhaime.

He added that they believe that people could be brought together through the power of gaming. The CEO also explained that games could escape the unpleasant things that reality could bring, especially what's happening currently.

"Welcome to Dreamhaven. We love epic adventures, sharing stories, and creating lasting memories with family and friends," written in Dreamhaven's home page.
