World of Warcraft Shadowlands will add new character customization and creation options in a patch, which will be released before the upcoming expansion. New characters, zones, and quests are expected, making Shadowlands a huge moment for the popular strategy game.

It will also upgrade the game with additions like control support, giving a wider range of players more access. The new expansion would also introduce new features, such as the long-awaited level squish, which will reduce its level cap and change the future leveling curve.

A newcomer channel, just like Final Fantasy XIV's Novice Network, will be added when the new patch is released. All of these new content that Shadowlands adds on Oct. 27 would come toward the end of a player's version through World of Warcraft.

However, the pre-expansion is already changing how things work in Shadowlands before it is even released. This was confirmed by Blizzard's blog post, stating that character creation progress would change when the new patch hits servers.

Some are just minor changes, like adding animated class introductions and rearranging icons on the screen. However, there are also some changes that add entirely new possibilities for character appearance.

Shadowlands will have a new Character SelectionScreen

According to Blizzard, players would have access to new character customization options, such as hairstyles, eye colors, and skin tones. The game publisher added that some characters could be improved beyond the basic appearances.

Certain races would have unique options such as jewelry, beards, scars, tattoos, or flowers to make their hair more appealing. On the new character creation screen, players would notice new drop-down menus, allowing them to navigate between different character looks intuitively.

Color choices for skin tones and the eye will be displayed alongside the option number. This means that players no longer need to scroll between different appearances.

It would be easier since they could quickly click between specific eye and skin tone options. The drop-down menu would display a name for the other cosmetic choices, providing the users a better idea of the option before they preview it.

Although World of Warcraft: Shadowlands could be a turning point for the popular MMORPG, it still received player dissatisfaction. However, these changes could win back the long-time fans and newcomers.
