The multinational mass media and entertainment company, The Walt Disney Company's streaming platform, Disney+, and subsidiary, Pixar Animations, will premiere the jazz-filled animation and adventure flick, "Soul," on Christmas Day, December 25, for its subscribers. Disney is making another one of its movies available for complete stream release amidst this time of the pandemic.

Disney will soon make its awaited Pixar Animation movie, "Soul," available for streaming families and movie buffs worldwide through its Disney+ platform. The streaming service rivals several established competitors such as Netflix, Amazon Prime, Hulu, Apple TV, and more.

Disney promises to give its best movies, primarily focusing on family and kid-friendly content with its exclusive flicks available on the platform. The move made by Pixar Animation, a subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company, aims to bring the feature film to families who face the risk and threat of the SARS-CoV 2 virus or COVID-19.

According to Engadget, this move follows the digital release of Artemis Fowl last June, and the surprising and controversial live adaptation of the hit 1994 film, "Mulan." The digital film release is the ideal move for media companies these days, as only a handful of theaters are open in several states, caused by the coronavirus outbreak.

The mass media company played it safe with its initial releases of feature films, unlike that of Warner Bros., who boldly put Tenet on movie theaters. Going digital was the option for most companies in the world, not only those in the media, during this time of the pandemic, with the threat of catching the virus is possible anywhere.

Pixar's Soul, Available on Disney+, Christmas Day

Pixar's "Soul" offers a new story with a jazz-centered character, Joe Gardner, a middle-school teacher who journeys to an alternate dimension. The film promises an adventure-filled movie experience with '"all that jazz" giving grooves to viewers. The movie was anticipated during its initial release; however, the pandemic halted its screening premiere.

Disney played it safe again with "Soul" as it will see a digital release in December. However, the entertainment company does not entirely rule out the possibility of the film's theatrical release once things start to mellow down. Moreover, theater releases will see it in some regions of the world where Disney+'s services are not available.

The company promises a fully immersive 'Pixar movie experience' right at the comfort of one's home with the release of "Soul," as a joint effort from both the animation studio and streaming subscription platform. During its first year of availability, Disney+ reached a whopping number of 60 million subscribers and growing.
