How do popular streamers clean their gaming keyboard? That's the question that a lot of players may be curious about. Luckily, Twitch returnee and popular Counter Strike: Global Offensive and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG) gamer Michael Grzesiek, most commonly known as Shroud, teaches his fans on how he cleans his keyboard. His ways however, is very hilarious that it went trending online the next day.
Shroud teaches us how to clean keyboard
One of the dirtiest parts of a computer is the keyboard or keypad. Ironically, it is also one of the most difficult to clean.
It is no secret that food particles, or random dirts are getting stuck in each keypad, once you don't clean the device regularly and properly.
Interestingly, popular streamer Shroud shares his technique on making sure his gaming keyboard is clean as always. As seen on the video on his Twitch page, the streamer was seen unboxing a set of his new gaming equipment like keyboard and headsets.
As he unboxed each material one by one, he suddenly blurted his way of cleaning his gaming keyboard, once he sees it dirty or full of particles.
Shroud shows his cleaning materials to the camera, wherein he emphasized the importance of keeping these materials in a safe place, especially once user deemed it necessary to clean the keyboard.
When everyone thought that this was the cue for Shroud to clean the keyboard itself, his simple solution to dirty keyboard is to "buy a new keyboard."
While most gamers found the "tutorial" video useless to really clean a keyboard, a lot of people actually found the video hilarious.
Some of them even said, "That was a straight up 'they had us in the first half, not gonna lie.'"
"My favorite part was when he unboxed 'the thingy that pops some keys'," says another user.
Some even called Shroud's process as the "most expensive way to clean the keyboard."
Guide 101: How to clean your gaming keyboard?
Though the "dad joke" of Shroud is freaking hilarious, there's another way of cleaning your gaming keyboard, especially if you don't have money to buy a new one. According to PC Gamer, you need to do the following:
- Turn off your keyboard before starting to clean it.
- Remove all of the key caps on your board and wipe them with an alcohol.
- Use a mini vacuum, or a cloth to make sure there is no loose debris left on the board.
- Get a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol and wipe the switches.
- Leave the board and switches to dry completely.
- Reassemble your keyboard.
And that's how its done!
