A new, fresh, and ambitious paranormal ghost hunter indie game has surprisingly outsold big AAA hits just like "Baldur's Gate 3", "Cyberpunk 2077," and now even the biggest hit game that took everyone by surprise as well, "Among Us".
"Phasmophobia" is currently one of the biggest and hottest PC games now circulating the market for a particularly good reason, that it merges engaging four different co-op with the detective sleuthing in a really unique type of ghost hunting experience.
'Phasmophobia' surprisingly hit top game
The recent "Phasmophobia" was recognized as the best-selling game on Steam for the weeks from October 18 up to October 25 finally beating most major hits just like" Baldur's Gate 3", "Cyberpunk 2077", and even the latest streaming sensation known as "Among Us", according to an article by Tweak Town.
According to a source statement to Tech Times, this could be due to the fact that "Among Us" is reportedly easier to crack and illegally download in comparison to the other games including the sensation "Phasmophobia".
Ghost Hunter TV shows inspired the game
The Kinetic Games' recent indie hit is actually one of the games that hit strategically for the current Halloween season. It was said to be a whole mixture of P.T.'s creepiness along with "Ghostbusters" and also a nice helping of the whole modern-day Ghost Hunter shows on TV.
It was said that every session actually builds up the suspense and the games' players all have to work well together in order to be able to finally find the said ghosts, make it appear, and also cleanse it from its supposed hunting grounds.
It was stated to be a fun game including four players all teaming up in order to solve problems and then stitch them together as part of a certain supernatural puzzle game. Currently, "Phasmophobia" is now selling for only $13.99 as part of its Steam Early Access. The list below comes from Steam.

Games like "Phasmophobia" and "Among Us" have proven that sometimes the simplicity of the game is what makes it a best-seller. "Among Us" reportedly follows the older social deduction game known as "Murder Mystery." Although the game failed to be as huge of a success as "Among Us" has claimed, it has still paved a way for one of the most popular social-deduction games.
The simplicity of these games have bolted it to be part of the top-selling games this October. It's hard to imagine these games top even the long-awaited "Cyberpunk 2077" but they did!
